At Castle Street Dental Practice, we use technology for one simple reason: it makes your care better. Every piece of equipment we invest in, and every system we put in place, is there to help us spot problems earlier, plan treatment more accurately and make your visit as comfortable and hassle-free as possible.
You do not need to be a technology enthusiast to benefit. For most patients, it simply means quicker appointments, clearer explanations and fewer of the parts of a dental visit people tend to dislike.
Many people remember dental impressions as a tray of gloopy material held in the mouth until it set. Our iTero scanner replaces that with a small handheld wand that captures a detailed 3D digital model of your teeth in a few minutes. No trays, no setting material and no gagging.
For Invisalign® patients, the scan links directly to Invisalign®’s planning software, so we can show you a simulation of how your teeth could move before you commit to treatment. As a Diamond Apex Invisalign® provider, ranked in the Top 150 globally, the iTero sits at the heart of our orthodontic work. We also use digital scans for crowns, veneers and retainers, which helps our laboratory partners produce restorations that fit accurately.
All of our X-rays are digital. Images appear on screen within seconds, so your dentist can talk you through what they see while you are still in the chair. Digital X-rays use a lower dose of radiation than traditional film, and the images can be enlarged and enhanced to help us spot problems early.
Our panoramic (OPG) X-ray captures all of your teeth, roots and jaw in a single image. It is useful for checking wisdom teeth, planning orthodontic and implant treatment, and getting a complete picture of your oral health.
Good technology is not only found in the surgery. Behind the scenes, Castle Street runs on digital systems, supported by our technology and AI partners, that help the practice run smoothly for patients and for our team.
These include automated appointment reminders, digital forms you can complete before your visit, and systems that keep recalls, follow-ups, referrals and clinical records organised so nothing slips through the net. Where AI tools support our administrative work, they help our team spend less time on paperwork and more time with you. Your care and clinical decisions always stay in the hands of your dentist.
For you, that means quicker replies, clear communication and a practice that is well organised from your first call to your last appointment.
We choose technology that makes a real difference to your care, whether that means a more accurate result, a more comfortable appointment or simply a smoother experience. We do not buy equipment for the sake of it, and the same technology supports our NHS and private patients alike.
Booking is quick and easy, online, by phone, or in person. We offer flexible appointments to suit your schedule, with NHS and private options available.
